Our Story
Britannia Publishing House is an independent publisher based in Covent Garden, London. We exist to give independent authors the production standards of a traditional house without asking them to give up a single right in their work.
Publishing a Book Is a Milestone, and We Treat It as One
We know what it takes to finish a manuscript, and we know how easily that work can be undermined by a rushed edit, a template cover or a contract that quietly takes the rights away. Every part of how we operate is a response to one of those failures.
How Britannia Works
Britannia Publishing House Ltd. is registered at Companies House in England and Wales under company number 16937618, with its registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, United Kingdom, WC2H 9JQ.
We operate a structured, standards-based publishing framework for authors who want to publish independently with professional editorial and production support. Manuscripts are assessed for structural coherence, clarity, genre alignment and production readiness before anything is quoted. The purpose of that assessment is not to judge artistic merit but to identify what work a book actually needs.
From there, a named editor stays with the manuscript through development, line and copy editing and proofreading. Production covers cover design, print and digital typesetting, ISBN allocation and retail metadata. Titles that complete the full pathway carry our Editorial Standard Seal, and are listed in the Seal Collection.
What we do not do is equally important: we make no claims about guaranteed sales, chart positions or overnight success, we do not invent deadlines to hurry a decision, and we do not begin work until scope and pricing are agreed in writing.

Editing, cover design, typesetting, illustration, audiobook production, author websites and book marketing are all handled in-house or by specialists we work with directly, so responsibility for the finished book never gets passed around.
